Due to supply shortages of Kuraray’s SentryGlas interlayer (also known as SGP), starting in 1st quarter 2023, Trulite will be actively trying to flip jobs from SentryGlas to other inlayers. See Letter from Kuraray announcing the shortage (SentryGlas Supply Notification January 2023.pdf). Unfortunately, there is no single interlayer that replaces SentryGlas in all applications. To assist with this, a bulletin has been created to assist with selcting an appropriate interlayer based on the laminated glass appication. 

The bulletin is STB 001C, Substitutions for SentryGlas® Interlayer.

With this change, Trulite will be offering PVB interlayers that are more "advanced" in their performance than the previouis.  As such, these advanced interlayers will have a different warranty to cover use in applications where edges are exposed, and/or used in single lite, butt-glazing application.  Previously, the standard PVB laminates by Trulite were not warranted for these applications. However, with the "advanced" PVB we now offer a separate warranty.
